So many of us are facing challenging days. If you are like me, you may feel helpless or overwhelmed, tired or discouraged by circumstances or even people. The Lord brought this Scripture to my mind.
I was challenged to turn my eyes away from my circumstances and focus on my God instead. I began making a list of facts about the God I serve to encourage my heart. By the time I was finished, my heart was full and I knew I had to share it with you.
I serve the God Who created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)
I serve the God Who spoke light into existence, creating day and night. (Genesis 1:3)
I serve the God Who separated the waters, forming the seas and the sky. (Genesis 1:6-8)
I serve the God Who placed the sun and moon in the heavens to govern day and night. (Genesis 1:14-16)
I serve the God Who fashioned all living creatures, from the fish in the sea to the birds in the sky, and every creeping creature on land. (Genesis 1:20-25)
I serve the God Who created man and woman in His image, breathing life into them. (Genesis 1:27)
I serve the God Who brought Noah and his family safely through the flood. (Genesis 7:23)
I serve the God Who gave Joseph wisdom to interpret dreams and saved Egypt from famine. (Genesis 41:14-36)
I serve the God Who protected Moses in the basket on the Nile and raised him up to lead His people out of slavery. (Exodus 2:1-10)
