BBC highlights issue of vitamin D deficiency in children

This under-recognised problem is responsible for a resurgence in the rates of the bone disease 'rickets', but may also be responsible for injuries that might be put down to abuse, as well as sudden infant death. Newspaper article highlights role of leptin in male weight control
Last Saturday
The Times newspaper here in the UK ran a feature on weight control in men. The paper kindly asked me to contribute a piece on this, which I used as an opportunity to discuss the potential role of the hormone leptin in weight control, as well as offer some thoughts on how men (or women) might lose weight and maintain that loss. Blessed are the meek?
This may come as a shock to some of you, but I'm actually quite an introverted individual. I came across an on-line piece recently which highlighted the work of an author of a book about introverts entitled
Quiet: The Power of Introverts. Just reading this piece made me think about my personality trait in a new and more positive light. For more on this,
