Doctors Discover Hypertension Drugs RAISE Blood Pressure

We've been telling you for years that drugs can do you more harm than good.

Now a huge study shows this is true also for people with high blood pressure.

That's because it shows that commonly used drugs for lowering blood pressure actually raise it.

But we do have some good news for you.

Another study shows that one safe, all-natural remedy effectively lowers blood pressure. And it does it in just three hours.

17-Year Study Slams Popular Drugs

The research was headed up by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. It shows that popular blood pressure drugs are making the problem worse. The study was published in the American Journal of Hypertension. And it looked at almost 1,000 patients over 17 years.

Researchers split the patients into two groups. One group was given a calcium channel blocker to lower blood volume. The other group was given a beta blocker, or "R" drug.

The study showed that the drugs spiked blood pressure. The highest spikes were found in patients taking the R drugs.

The study authors have something to say about this. They say doctors need to be more careful when treating patients.

"There's a variation in response to treatment," says study author Michael Alderman, MD. He's the former president of the American Society of Hypertension. "Some patients will have an elevation in blood pressure."

Until now, this has been blamed on patients not taking their drugs. Other times doctors put it down to random events.

"But this data shows that it's not a random event," he says. "It's due to a mismatch between the patients' renin status and the drug."

Wait until you see what could happen in America as early as this MAY...

An unbelievable phenomenon is set to sweep the nation as early as this May...

The railroad age... the steel age... the electronics age... the technology age - this phenomenon triggered them all.And now it's taking shape again!

Watch this special, time-sensitive presentation now for full details on how it could affect your job... your lifestyle... and your wallet.

Going the Natural "Root"

A UK study - published in the American Heart Association journal Hypertension - says beetroot juice significantly lowers high blood pressure.

The study was conducted by the famous Queen Mary's William Harvey Research Institute. And it was headed up by Dr. Amrita Ahluwalia. It's the same institute that discovered that aspirin prevents heart attacks and strokes

Researchers gave beetroot juice to healthy volunteers. They compared their blood pressure responses and changes in their circulation.

And they found out some very good news indeed. Not only does beetroot juice lower blood pressure...it does it quickly.

Dr. Ahluwalia found that patients lowered their blood pressure within three hours of drinking their daily dose. And the effects last for 24 hours.

And the best thing is that the root works best for those who need it most.

Researchers found that "the higher the blood pressure, the greater the decrease."

Taking On the Health "Beet"

Research member Professor Ben Benjamin says that beetroot absorbs and stores super high levels of nitrate. These are found in soil and our bodies use them to combat high blood pressure.

"When nitrate is present in saliva, bacteria on the tongue converts it into nitrite," he says. "When the nitrite is swallowed, it's converted into nitric oxide."

And that is a chemical produced by our blood vessels to help them relax and lower blood pressure.

"Increasing the levels of nitrate with beetroot juice increases this effect," he says.

The study also found beetroot juice works like aspirin. It prevents blood clots and protects the lining of blood vessels.

"Treatment for high blood pressure involves aspirin, statins, beta blockers, and ACE inhibitors," says Professor Benjamin. "People don't like taking all the tablets. They don't feel well and the treatment is lifelong."

But he says beetroot is a healthy and safe alternative to all that.

And people are already putting it to the test.

Sixty-year-old David Kelsall, from Stoke-on-Trent, England, was amazed by the results.

"I discovered my blood pressure was high when my doctor was testing for something else," he says. "It was not life-threatening but I was anxious to do something about it."

He was considering drugs when he read the reports about beetroot juice.

"I drank three bottles of it a week," he says. "Less than four weeks [later], my blood pressure had already leveled out. Now, a few months later, it is under control and normal. I am still drinking the juice, and I'm going to continue doing so. It may not help everyone, but it's helped me."

Not only is beet root safe and effective, you don't need to much of it to get those great benefits.

You can get raw beetroot in the produce aisle in almost any grocery store.

But the researchers used beetroot juice. And they only used a small amount of it to lower blood pressure.

"We found that just 250ml (is needed) to have this effect," says Dr. Ahluwalia.

And getting beet root in juice form is easy.

Either take raw beets and use a juicer to turn them into liquid form. Or simply buy organic beet root juice at your area health store or online.
