Simply Angie Who is Angie Berg?Wife, daughter, sister, missionary, author, teacher, mentor, and friend. I’m all of those, but most importantly, I'm a child of God. As a Christian woman, I make no apologies for that fact.
My ultimate goal is to learn to understand and please my Savior and God so that I can be of most value to Him in this life and be ready to stand before Him in heaven without being too ashamed of myself. While I aim high, I also fall short much too often. I’m so grateful for grace! God has given me a great love for others and a strong desire to encourage as many people as possible to be all that God desires. Service and Consolidation are my words for 2023, and Simply Angie on Substack is my implementation tool.Over the last 20+ years, I began one project after another, both online and offline. I love learning new skills, so it was easy to get excited about each new endeavor. In addition to our missionary work in Australia, I wrote a few books, built a few websites, started a few newsletters, etc. Of course, this eventually led to overwhelm when I couldn’t keep all the balls I was juggling in the air at the same time. Introduce a few serious health issues with close family members that required my hands on care, and I just decided to stop juggling completely and let the non-essential tasks go undone. Over the last several months, I have re-grouped and re-energized myself and feel ready to revisit all that I have been neglecting. I know that I absolutely can’t go back and try to juggle everything again. BUT, I have an idea! I’m in the process of consolidating my websites (saving only my favorite parts of each) and making angieberg.com the hub of all of my activities. From there, I will begin again to share the lessons that God is teaching me, promote my store, hollycottageboutique.com with my custom designed Christian faith themed gifts (and humorous ones, too), and make my books and other resources available to those who may be interested. I’m So Excited About Simply AngieIn a world where we are being encouraged to accept all manner of ideology that goes against common sense, common decency, and common truth, I want to create a place where we can simply be what God designed us to be. He is the Creator ~ I am His creation. He is the King ~ I am His subject. He is the Father ~ I am His child. He is the Master ~ I am His servant. He is the Ruler ~ I am His prisoner. He is the Shepherd ~ I am His sheep. He is Everything ~ I am His. What Can You Expect From Simply Angie?While I believe I’ve made clear that I’m coming from a place of Christian faith, that doesn’t mean everything I write about or share with you will be Scripture themed or religious in nature. You’ll be getting regular newsletters from me, sometimes weekly, sometimes less often, where I share all manner of bits and pieces. You might find a favorite recipe, a funny joke, a cute new product I design, a financial lesson I learned, a parenting tip, and most definitely some devotional thoughts and words of encouragement. As I share my heart with you, I’m hoping that you will share right back!
